Bath & massage house

Our House

A bathhouse kept the old way, with the gentlest hands of today

Step out of the lane and into the warm. At Salus the clock is a dripping brass spout, the light comes through stars in the dome, and the only appointment left is with yourself.

We heat our water with the sun on our roofs, and our oils come from one olive grove.

Who are we?

The name “Salus” comes from the Latin for health and wellbeing, and from an old phrase carved over Roman baths: salus per aquam, health through water.

We are a small team of bath attendants and massage therapists who think the best treatments are the oldest ones, done with time and attention. Two houses, twenty-two people, one rule: nobody here is in a hurry.
